New Vic

Be the NV

Behind New Vic’s formal exterior was a place full of warmth, detail and possibility. We drew on the character of its Victorian-inspired interiors and the energy of modern Manchester to create The New Victorians: an invitation to curious, ambitious people to make New Vic their own. “Be the NV” became the shorthand, and gave the development a voice that stood apart in a busy rental market.

Victorian influence runs through the identity in unexpected ways: rich with character, but made for a new generation of residents. The idea shaped everything from the names of communal spaces and signage to moments designed to draw people into New Vic. The identity became part of daily life within the building, rather than something that disappeared once lease up had been achieved.

Be the NV

New Vic found its audience quickly with leasing completed five months ahead of schedule. More tellingly, residents spoke about how proud they were to show friends around. The promise made in the campaign had become something they could experience for themselves.
