This policy explains how Matter (formerly Siren) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too. We call them all “cookies” here.
Your choice
We only use the strictly necessary cookies below unless you click Accept. If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics run at all. You can change your mind at any time; if you withdraw consent we delete the analytics cookies we can reach.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. The site works fully without them.

Analytics (only with your consent)
These help us understand how many people visit, how they found us and which parts of the site they read, so we can improve it. They are only set after you accept.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. Data may be transferred to the United States under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Videos, images and maps
Our videos are streamed from Vimeo, our Instagram posts from Instagram, and the map in our contact panel from Mapbox. These services receive your IP address when your browser fetches from them, as any website does, but we don’t use them to set tracking cookies.
Lawful basis and your rights
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR regulation 6) for analytics cookies. Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time.
